Lost package in eco-complete substrate?

I remodeled my planted tank and added 20 pounds of eco complete substrate. I forgot about the little package it had to clear cloudy water. Right after I dumped all the substrate in my tank, I realized the package was missing. I tried looking for it for about half an hour and finally gave up. Now, I think the package thing in it's wrap is somewhere in my 40 pounds of substrate (20 gallon high tank). Will this cause any harm of my fish when I add some? My shrimp? My in snail? The packet is ment to be used in the tank to clear the water from being cloudy. It's not the stuff that like preserves stuff like you find in beef jerky bags.
