How will a 2003 Nissan 350z hold out? Please only respond if you've owned or driven one several times?

I've been obsessing over this car for quite a while, and plan on getting it. But today I was talking about it to my friend and she told me her mom had one a few years ago and it was jerky and unresponsive.. please say it isn't so!! I mean, I've heard theyre great cars. If not, what are some similar cars I can look at for around the 10k budget? Thanks everyone,
