Why do nice guys end last?

They end up getting the cute girl after she has been ually with all the bad boys she couldnt say no to during her young teenage years. While the nice guys were left behind, lonely all through High School and College. Why does it take a guy to be tough and jerky to brainwash and later break Tge heart of a cute girl.. Why oh Why?
